Concept for a PC assembly

When buying a CPU it is important to remember that the brand is important. Low quality brands give poor results and do not live long enough. The two choices you have are Intel and AMD that will satisfy your needs. It depends on what you’re looking for. AMD is cheaper and Intel costs more because it’s a little bit better, for budget gaming AMD is better. Intel is good for power efficiency. After, you need to determine the processor type which is Mobile, Desktop or Server. Each type has different power consumption, performance and price. When building your own computer, you’ll most likely need a desktop chip, unless you’re building a server, with the appropriate motherboard, in case you’ll go for a server type. As for mobile chips, you could use one to upgrade your laptop processor to a more powerful one, or one that consumes less power to extend your battery life. Series help you identify if the processor is low-end, mainstream or high-end. The CPU Socket is where you install the  CPU. You’ll usually notice that a core is associated with a particular series. The core is a good indicator of performance, before considering other important factors such as frequency (speed in GHz) and cache (Very fast onboard cpu memory) that is. Whether your processor supports 64-bit software or not. Just like everyone switched from 16-bit to 32-bit many years ago, in order to be able to use more memory in our computers, we are now switching to 64-bit, in order to lift the 4GB memory limit of 32-bit. Cache is really quick on-board cpu memory, much faster than RAM, that your processor use to store data that is about to be processed and/or is used often. The more cache you have, the more data your processor can store for ultra-quick access and the more performance you’ll get out of your processor.
Video games performance greatly benefit from more L2 and L3 cache. Thermal Power Design (TPD) is a general measurement that indicates how much power, in Watts, that your processor will consume in the worst case scenario. This is also used to have an idea of how much heat your processor will produce.

What do you think is the best Operating system?

An Operating System is a system software that manages hardware and software (computer) resources and provides common services for computer programs. It is a component of the system software and to function, application programs usually require an operating system.

I think the best operating system is the Mac OS. It is a series of graphical user interface–based operating systems developed by Apple Inc. for their Macintosh line of computer systems. There are two architectural legacies of Mac OS. Up to major revision 9, from 1984 to 2000, it is historically known as Classic Mac OS. Major revision 10, from 2001 to present, is branded OS X (originally referred to as Mac OS X). Both legacies share a general interface design, and there has been some overlap of application frameworks for compatibility; but the two systems have different origins and use deeply different architectures.
The Classic Mac is characterized by its monolithic system. Versions of Mac OS up through System 4 ran only one application at a time.
Every Mac comes with a collection of great apps for things you do every day.

Safari is for the web, Photos for managing your photos and videos, Keynote for preparing presentations, Pages for creating documents and Numbers for making spreadsheets. There are apps for sending email and text messages, notes and staying up to date with your contacts and calendar. It comes with the Mac App Store for finding new apps. Mac is fully featured and loaded.
It's most innovative features are:
Time Machine - makes backing up data easy
Native PDF Support- can easily create PDF files with any program that supports the print command
Spotlight - made waves for its metadata index and instant-search capabilities.
iChat - a way to communicate with other people while doing something else on your computer

Cloud Computing and Cloud Storage

Cloud Computing
also known as on-demand computing. It is a kind of Internet-based computing where shared resources, data and information are provided to computers and other devices on-demand. It is a model for enabling ubiquitous, on-demand access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources.
Cloud computing, or in simpler shorthand just "the cloud", also focuses on maximizing the effectiveness of the shared resources. Cloud resources are usually not only shared by multiple users but are also dynamically reallocated per demand. This can work for allocating resources to users. For example, a cloud computer facility that serves European users during European business hours with a specific application (e.g., email) may reallocate the same resources to serve North American users during North America's business hours with a different application (e.g., a web server). This approach helps maximize the use of computing power while reducing the overall cost of resources by using less power, air conditioning, rack space, etc. to maintain the system. With cloud computing, multiple users can access a single server to retrieve and update their data without purchasing licenses for different applications.
The present availability of high-capacity networks, low-cost computers and storage devices as well as the widespread adoption of hardware virtualizationservice-oriented architecture, and autonomic and utility computing have led to a growth in cloud computing. Companies can scale up as computing needs increase and then scale down again as demands decrease.
Cloud Storage

This means the storage of data in the cloud wherein a company's data is stored in and accessible from multiple distributed and connected resources that comprise a cloud. It can provide the benefits of greater accessibility and reliability; rapid deployment; strong protection for data back up, archival and disaster recovery purposes. It does not have the potential for security and compliance concerns. There are four types of cloud storage.
1. Personal Cloud Storage - or mobile cloud storage is a subset of public cloud storage that applies to storing an individual's data and providing access anywhere.

2. Public cloud storage - where the enterprise and storage service provider are separate and there aren't any cloud resources stored in the enterprise's data center.

3. Private cloud storage - where the enterprise and cloud storage provider are integrated in the enterprise's data center. It helps resolve the potential for security and performance concerns while still offering the advantages of cloud storage.

4. Hybrid cloud storage - is a combination of a public and private cloud storage where some critical data resides in the enterprise's private cloud while other data is stored and accessible from a public cloud storage provider

Why do I hate EDP 111 and the instructor?

Hate is such a strong word, so I am just going to say, strongly dislike, I don't mean to offend anyone with the topic of this post. Honestly, I do not hate EDP nor do I get excited with its existence because I find it boring. In my opinion, EDP is important in life because of the world we are in today. I do not hate it but I don't get excited by it. I do not really care much about hardware and software, nor do I care about VoIP. I do not care about the Surface Pro, Information system, Information Technology, I mean, it is cool and all but did I ask? I don't like the complicated parts of the computer and I don't care about the functions of microprocessor chips or multi-core chips, did anyone really ask? I don't think so. I think that these things are useful to learn but I do not really see where I can apply them in my life. Maybe a few tips and tricks but not really everything. I pick up a new device and figure it out by myself. I do not see myself as an IT student so, this must be important for them and not for me. EDP is not really my forte but I'll do my best for it even though I dislike it.

About the instructor, however; I do not hate him. He is better than the first teacher that was supposed to teach us. He is cool because of the way he admits that he thinks it's boring. He is realistic when it comes to life and the dangers that comes with it. I hate the fact that his lectures are bit boring. He adds some jokes here and there which is great for a subject that is boring. The way he explains things is a little bit hard to understand. I find it hard to comprehend because of the words that he uses and some students do not understand him as well. I think that it is unfair to other students who do not understand the language of Bisaya and Tagalog. I am not saying that I can't understand those languages but I'm speaking for the other students who can't. It is a bit inconsiderate of him to do that but it's okay because he makes up for it at the end.

What is the best computer system?

The best computer system is a small supercomputer and it consumes less power. This computer system consists up to 1024 MB of external DRAM.  It is a lightweight OS per node for minimum system overhead. Much like Macbook products, it is a silent PC. It is a portable computer that makes the less noise and has such little heat. It is super light and portable. It comparable to IBM’s Blue Gene but it is smaller and better because it can be brought anywhere at any time. Instead of a dual processor, this system uses a quadruple processor. All node components are embedded on one chip. This design is impeccable because by using many small, low-power, densely packaged chips, it exceeds the power efficiency of other super computers of this generation. The memory subsystem on each chip is 64 MB and dual DDR2 memory controllers.

This system is like the human brain. Instead of using ten per cent of the brain however; this one uses 100 per cent. It is the past, present and the future. Not only that, it can also present things in a three-dimensional manner. If you want to view it that way then you can because of its holographic properties. With this computer system, who knows what the human mind can achieve? With all of these perks, who knows what can happen to the world? And we all know that with every perk there is a con. Although, people may plot some bad things, the microprocessor can detect devious things because that is what it is designed to do. Think of it as “Safe Search” and it filters all the devious things that people plan. It is one step closer to end corruption, one step closer to end poverty, one step closer to world peace. If everyone starts to plan some devious things, it will self-destruct. This system does not advocate deviant acts and it advocates peace and unity.

Why do we need to study EDP 111?

EDP stands for Electronic Data Processing. EDP broadens our minds to the electronic world of wisdom. It is important for people to understand this to prepare them in the future. In world filled with computers, one should be technologically savvy. Brighter individuals that can work with technology and impute their knowledge of it to others and real life situations are successful

As we all know, technology advances over time. As we grow older, we become smarter and more aware of the things that we are capable of doing. It is important to study EDP because we need to understand the power of technology and how it can affect our lives.   We need to understand how the new things works. It helps us in the future because when we apply this in our lives, it will affect our knowledge and more or less add knowledge in our lives. Most of the information that we get nowadays is from the data from our computers and microcomputers. The knowledge and information that we learn from EDP has greatly affected the economies all around the world. The effect of this learning has resulted in new software products like Microsoft and IBM Lotus. Data storage has also standardized. People have the chance to specialize their skills by learning the basics of EDP. social-media-giants-pinterest-tumblr-twitter-fall-victim-to-hackingIllustration file picture shows a man typing on a computer keyboard in Warsaw Although there are many perks of studying and learning EDP 111, there are also cons like the risk of being hacked. Even though that takes advanced techniques, everyone can learn that through videos that are posted on YouTube or any other site with video streaming. With the information that we acquire, from EDP 111, we can protect ourselves from the cons like being hacked, scammed etc. tumblr_inline_nc5hm9wl2d1rrqfewtumblr_n96yum1qrq1thk2o4o1_500
By learning EDP 111, we can understand the concepts of technology which helps us in our future conquests. Without this, we would be technologically illiterate. It is better to have new information stored in our minds for everyday use. As we know, technology advances every day and it would be better if we had knowledge about it because we can be aware of our surroundings and we can be safe. Sometimes the little things can cause huge effects of change, may it be losing your file or pressing the wrong key on a stock exchange. Nowadays, dangerous things happen with just a press of a button. It would be better if you had the right knowledge and use it for a good reason or cause.
